have you tried rolling back your fenders on the inside to make more room? it's pretty easy and doesn't take much time.

Hey guys, just wanted to ask you a few questions on your cars. I got some 17" rims for my 91 SI HB. Everytime i make a sharp left turn the rear right tire rubs the well. I seem to have a few inches i would like to fill in the whell well as well. Just curious to see if you think coil overs or neuspeed lowering springs will help the problem or make it worse. Do you all have signs of wear on your tires from the rubbing? What is your recommendation on fixing the problem. Thanks

If you rub now and your car is not even lowered, you might have some problems when you lower it. What is the offset on those wheels?

Car is looking great. Super clean. I dont kow if thats the picture or do you have that red pinstrip going down the side and up around the back window. Peel those off. Mine came off easy leaving no glue or sticky residue

The offset is 17" x 7". I heard of bending the fenders. I think that that would prob do it. Would that stop the rubbing? Then if I lower it it wouldnt rub, right? I just want to make sure before I start bending the metal, cause you only bend once. I just had a fresh pinstripe put on the car. The guy that put them on said that you heat the striping up then just peel it back. The only prob is, the car is almost 11 years old. Wont there be some serious paint fade? Just want to make sure that it is not that noticible if I pull that striping off. I would hate to pay for that again. Thanks alot guys, I like any comments or suggestions on my car.

Well I had some rubbing on my civic with 17" rims; Your best bet would be to bend up the fenderwells. If they still rub try getting a camber kit to adjust the angle of the tires. You would go through tires quickly though. I added coilovers to stiffen the ride and have the adjustability to make sure I coule raise the rear if it would rub. Good luck.....
